All is well in Wilderness

A very quick post from the aptly named town of Wilderness in the Southern Cape...

We are staying at an adorable guest house (Fairy Knowe Backpackers) and are finally caught up in our sleep. This is such a welcome change from the noisy, disappointing scene we found in Cape Town.

We have been relaxing and moving around in an adorable 1977 Beetle that we've rented from something like $23 a day.

We are off tomorrow via bus to Port Elizabeth, and then on Sunday head towards Pretoria on an overnight train ride. Then we've got three days left in the country and leave for India on the 14th!

Oh my! I just looked at pictures from Fairy Knowe Backpackers web site and I was right - I DO want to be there! Love the address: Dumbleton Road, Wilderness. Reminds me of the name of a British family we knew in Tabriz: the Popplestones.
