Maptastic!

I've made an attempt of a trip map of our route via Google Maps:

Here is an embedded-in-the-page version:

or a link to a new, full page:

Full page Map

Don't forget the fun Satellite and Terrain buttons so you can get an idea what these assorted places look like.

Color codes:

I've got place markers on places where we've either stayed, or are of some interest.

The links in between are by form of transport:

dark blue are flights
brown is bus or taxi
red are trains
bright green are cars/scooters we've operated
light blue are ferries/boats

Have fun!

"That's it so far" that's a whole LOT so far!!!!!!!!!!! When you get home or even in your spare time while away I'd like to know the total miles that you have travelled so far and then the total at the end of your trip. Also which was the best leg as far as transportation goes and which was the worst leg of your trip? Love, vix

Omigosh - just following your route with my mouse made me tired! I bet you wish you could fly to Bangkok from Dharamsala instead of going all the way back down to Delhi (your fav town, I know....)

Vicky - the worst route, hmmm - possibly either the PE to Jo'berg frozen train ride or the other overnight train ride we did in South India. As for the best... possibly our Zurich to Tanzania flight - comfy, exciting, and getting to gaze out over Sudan and the Sahara was amazing.
